A kenzan is the foundation of any arrangement; its pins pierce through the base of the stems to hold them in place. Place it in a shallow bowl full of water – seeing the architecture behind the arrangement is part of the practice. Made in Japan, this brass kenzan can support woody material as well as softer greens and stems.
