The Scandia Senior chair was designed by Hans Brattrud in 1957 as part of a project while studying at the National College of Art and Design in Oslo. Thanks to its revolutionary design, the chair gained immediate recognition and became attractive and prominent at several exhibitions and fairs. In 1960, Bartrud designed additional models for the chair. The Scandia Senior has won several international awards thanks to its innovation and timeliness.
