Description
This elegant Japanese Hasami ware bowl features a crisp white porcelain body defined by a distinctive, fluted scalloped rim. The design highlights a delicate application of light blue "vidro" glaze in the center, which develops an intricate, crystallized pattern resembling morning dew, adding a unique texture and visual appeal to the dish.
Hasami ware (called Hasami yaki in Japanese) is a form of porcelain produced in Hasami in Nagasaki prefecture. It is a traditional handicraft that was first produced in the latter part of the Sengoku period (1467-1603) and remains popular today as tableware for daily use.
